Jubilee of World of Communications ~ January 24-26
We the parishioners of St. John the Baptist,
brothers and sisters in Christ, accept as our mission:
to know our faith and share it with others, to continue to grow spiritually with respect for the sacraments, to celebrate the liturgy and the Holy Eucharist as the center of our Christian life, to live by truth and love, to serve those in need, to teach by example, and thereby strengthen and inspire our Parish family in accordance with the Roman Catholic Church.

SERVANTS ON CHRIST'S MISSION
(CONTINUE OF RENEWAL & RESTRUCTURING PLAN)
In this update by Fr. Patrick McDevitt, C.M. Chancellor and Director of Mission and Planning for the Diocese of Belleville, he will share with you the vision for the Diocese of Belleville and the work of Servants on Christ’s Mission. The vision is as follows: The Diocese of Belleville will be revitalized in Christ through evangelization, stewardship, and missionary discipleship. The Vicariates, Partnerships, and Parishes will develop local leadership, structures, and programs to implement the priorities and goals of Servants on Christ’s Mission. There will be a greater sense of diocesan identity and local participation in the future. I would ask you to reflect upon this vision and pray for the working of the Holy Spirit to animate us to truly live this vision for our diocese. We will soon be inviting people in the coming months to share their hopes, dreams, and ideas for their parishes, partnerships, the local vicariate, and the diocese. You will be hearing more details about these gatherings in the near future. Please pray for the success of Servants on Christ’s Mission. If you would like to learn more about the pastoral vision of Servants on Christ’s Mission and/or be more involved in the work of this effort, please do not hesitate to contact me at pmcdevitt@diobelle.org.
